About
Elantic is an Oldenburg stallion by Erdinger out of Bella Bella S, by Belantis I out of Samba Hit I out of Rubinstein. He was bred by Fritz Schulze Jr. His paternal grandsire is the former international Grand Prix horse Escolar, who also sired the popular Escamillo.
Initially owned by Gestüt Sprehe, Elantic was first licensed by the Mecklenburg breeding society at a private licensing held at Sprehe’s in Löningen in November 2020. He went on to gain approval from the Oldenburg and Westfalian breeding societies in early spring of 2021.
He completed his 14-day suitability test in Neustadt Dosse in September 2021, scoring 8.30 for dressage and 7.75 for show jumping, finishing on a strong overall total of 8.08 among a group of 34 participating stallions. He backed that up with his mandatory sport test in Munich in March 2023, scoring 8.15 for dressage qualities and potential.
His pedigree explains the balance he shows under saddle. Erdinger is himself a grandson of the breeding powerhouse Escolar, a sire line recognized across German and Dutch breeding for stamping offspring with correct mechanics and a reliable temperament, out of a dam line carrying Belantis I. That cross produces exactly what his performance record hints at: three superior-quality gaits, a refined and correct body type, and the kind of even-keeled disposition that trains up rather than fights back.
The numbers on both sides of his pedigree back that up further. Erdinger has already proven himself a top producer with five licensed or approved sons to his name, and his own sire, Escolar, made a substantial mark on dressage breeding, siring 82 licensed or approved sons while competing internationally through Grand Prix with real success. On the dam side, Elantic’s damsire Belantis I, a son of Benetton Dream, has sired 24 licensed or approved sons, all developed and competed up to international Grand Prix himself.
Perhaps the most practical argument for Elantic as a breeding sire, though, is the depth of his approval. He carries licensing across six registries: DSP, Westphalian, Hanoverian, Mecklenburg, Rhineland, and Oldenburg, a multi-registry endorsement few stallions achieve, and one that reflects broad confidence in his type, movement, and pedigree across the different breeding philosophies each studbook represents. For a breeder who wants proven quality gaits, a manageable and trainable temperament, and a pedigree with documented approval well beyond a single home registry, Elantic offers a genuinely well-rounded foundation.
